Every year, the Beaujolais Nouveau launch has an important place in the heart of our Asian friends, and especially in Japan. Once again, Labouré-Roi put on a great spread in order to properly celebrate the arrival of our 2017 cuvées in the land of the rising sun.
This year again, a beauty queen: Naomi Bailly, Miss Bourgogne 2016, will be our ambassador at the Japanese launch parties of our Beaujolais Nouveau. She will perfectly embody the highly festive and chic side of our primeurs wines, in front of a public eager to share a little of the French spirit, synonymous of finesse and pleasures.
All our Nouveaux Wines, imported by Sapporo Beweries, will even labelled “Appointed by Miss Bourgogne” showing this elegant sponsorship.
In Japan, but also in China or in Macao, our Beaujolais and Beaujolais-Villages Nouveaux 2017 will be dressed with a label designed by the French Artist Joyce Delimata. We continue to express a great interest and historical attachment to French artists’ extraordinary creations by renewing our partnership with this painter and renown visual artist based in our beautiful region.
As you may know, 2017 is a vintage marked by climatic hazards. From spring frosts to severe hail storms, from drought to helping rains, we have reinforced our ties with the Domaines and Brigitte, our winemaker, was able to create and select very balanced, powerful and concentrated wines.
